Drag and drop uploading pictures
editHi I mentioned on a Wikimania 2021 session my wish with "drag and drop" to add picture and set structured data.... I tested a Wikicommons user script https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Kaldari/inat2commons.js and I feel that is a nice approach.... it doesnt set the structured data but I guess in this user case we could also do that..

- Hi, Salgo60. Thank you for leaving this suggestion here. Not only I added the script to my volunteer account, but I also shared your suggestion in the SDC depicts talk page, hoping that more users will be interested. I'm also sharing this with the WMF Structured data team. Again, thanks for the amazing feedback during the session! GFontenelle (WMF) (talk) 01:16, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback.... the cool thing I see
- we have machine readable licenses from iNaturalist and that is set once in the account of the users see video from Andrawaag
- we have machine readable depict
- the depict is done that I as an user say I believe this is a xxxx and the other people can upvote it so you get something like a trust level called research Grade (see article "USING INATURALIST TO CONTRIBUTE YOUR NATURE OBSERVATIONS TO SCIENCE1" . I feel this is a good pattern to be used to get more trust when having corperate with a crowdsourcing community
- Maybe a pattern to speak about at the Lydia Pintscher (WMDE) sessions d:Wikidata:Events/Data_Quality_Days_2021 9-15 september...
- see my article about dataroundtripping and Structured data on commons I also mention Crowdsourcing starting with low hanging fruits were we easy can trust each other as I see is not always easy...

- I have started an odd project adding outdoor gyms see d:Wikidata:WikiProject_Outdoor_Gyms and now I try to get the city of Stockholm to deliver pictures with machine readable license and depict see "issue 62" I am not sure they understand my vision ;-) we need more good examples and I also feel we need to share good patterns like this...
- cc: Andrawaag is working a lot with Wikidata <-> iNaturalist and maybe has more to add...
