Abstract & description
editAbstract
editA panel of representatives from different groups piloting regional or thematic hubs. An overview of why the particular hub pilot is important for their community and discussing the lessons learned from different contexts.
Description
editThe aim of the session is to have a cross-cutting overview of projects happening in the area of hub piloting. While there will be separate sessions around particular hubs and deeper dives into particular aspects of hub collaboration, this session will help to get a good overview of different pilots in different contexts. The focus is on explaining the value that particular projects have in their context for their communities and then surfacing key lessons learned.
The session will open with a panel discussion. The panel will be composed of different hub pilot representatives that will take part at Wikimania. The panel discussion will start with a bigger picture conversation why hub piloting matters to the groups and communities represented and will then move to a more detailed conversation about the lessons learned in each particular case. The panel will be followed by an open Q&A to the panelists.
