2020:Venue
Wikimania 2020 will take place at the Bangkok Convention Centre, CentralWorld Shopping Complex, Pathum Wan District, Bangkok, Thailand. It is in heart of Bangkok's bustling business and shopping district of Ratchaprasong. This facility, sitting at the 22nd and 23rd levels of the Centara Grand Hotel, has a dedicated front entrance and elevators.
Getting there
editIt is easy to get to the venue with public transport.
By Rail
editIt is accessible from the elevated light rail BTS Skytrain's Siam station (CEN) of the Sukhumvit and Silom lines and Chit Lom station (E1) of the Sukhumvit line. You may refer to this walking guide should you wish to skip the CentralWorld mall.
By Boat
editYou will need to take the Saen Saep Express Boat and alight from the Pratunam Pier and walk through Thanon Ratchadamri and turn right at the Centara Grand Access Road.
By Car / Taxi / Tuk-Tuk / Ride-hail service
editFor taxis and tuk-tuks, you will need to direct the driver to Centara Grand Hotel. The convention centre dedicated entrance is located beside (right of) the hotel.
For ride-hail service (transport mobile app), you will need to use the Grab app as Uber is not available in Thailand and Southeast Asia. You will need to pin your destination to "Centara Grand at CentralWorld".
