Poster session/Autism and Wikimedia events
Description
editAccording to autistic contributors themselves, autistic people seem to be overrepresented among the Wikimedian community. However, from my personal experience at the last Wikimania and from experiences shared by other Wikimedians, most of Wikimedian IRL events don't fit in many ways with specific needs of autistic people.
This poster aims to explain the main characteristics of ASD (autism spectrum disorder) or "autism", the more common specific needs of autistic people for a better understanding and proposes tips to adapt your Wikimedian events for a better inclusivity.
This topic was also the subject of a lecture made at the French Wikiconvention in October 2018 and is about diversity and accessibility.
