2019:Multimedia knowledge/Challenges when going on photo walks
This is an Accepted submission for the Multimedia space at Wikimania 2019. |
Description
editGoing on a walk with a camera to take photos for Wikimedia Commons can be fun, but it's not always easy to do. It can be difficult to know what to photograph, venues can have restrictive policies, and even personal safety can be a concern. This session will start with an overview of the issues and solutions that I've experienced on my photo walks (particularly in Brazil), before opening the floor for an open discussion of the issues others have faced, and suggestions for solutions.
Session outcomes
editAt the end of the session, the following will have been achieved:
- Awareness of challenges that you might face when going on a photo walk
- Discussion of possible solutions to those challenges
Session leader(s)
